Serve on the Board of Directors

U S Federal Credit Union is seeking qualified, community-minded individuals interested in serving on our volunteer Board of Directors. We are seeking nominees who are forward-thinking, collaborative, and committed to strengthening the credit union for our current and future members.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, our Board plays a critical role in guiding strategic direction, overseeing financial performance, and safeguarding the long-term interests of our membership and community.

Board service provides you the opportunity to shape the financial future of the community while gaining meaningful governance experience and expanding your professional impact.

Associate Board Member Program

We also offer a limited Associate Board Member program for individuals interested in learning more about credit union governance and leadership development. Associate Board Members serve in a non-voting advisory capacity as part of our succession planning efforts. Ideal learning opportunity for candidates who may wish to serve as a board member in the future.

Service Requirements

Board Service Expectations and Board positions are volunteer and non-compensated. Reasonable training and travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with board policy.

Directors must be eligible for membership at U S Federal Credit Union and must meet bonding requirements.

NCUA regulations require federal credit union board members to possess or acquire training to read and understand the credit unions financial reports.
