What is an IRA?
IRA stands for individual retirement account. These accounts are created to allow you to save money for retirement with tax-free growth or on a tax-deferred basis.
What IRAs are offered at U S FCU?
Traditional IRA – Contributions to this account are tax deductible. Withdrawals are taxed at the ordinary income tax rate when funds are taken from the account during retirement.
Roth IRA – A special retirement account where you pay taxes on money going into your account, and then all future withdrawals are tax-free
Rollover IRA – An account that allows for the transfer of assets from an old employer-sponsored retirement account to a Traditional IRA.
